gloria Vanderbilt on creating her own legacy

Gloria Vanderbilt lived with a long list of passions. She loved poetry, art, textiles, fashion and design and today we celebrate her life by celebrating one of her biggest successes - her own clothing collection.

Gloria Vanderbilt turned denim into designer and eventually a $200 million dollar brand. Her still enduring denim collection got its roots in the 70s and 80s. Her revolutionary approach to denim was luxury - a really well fit denim that would last. With their stretchy fabric and slim fit, Vanderbilt jeans became iconic to American wardrobes. Despite having not been involved in the company in over thirty years, Americans across the country celebrated the life of Gloria and her iconic business ventures.

The team at Clutch Made just HAD to write about how a woman can single handedly create her own legacy as well as live on as one of the staple household known brands in the country. It all started with a passion, an idea, a spark before it was turned onto marketable products that drove Vanderbilt's success.

At #clutchmade that's exactly what we do. We HELP you go from passion project to successful product - helping you from point A to B and everything in between.
